[NEW FEATURES & IMPROVEMENTS]
We've been working away on some things we are pretty excited about. But before we let the whole cat out of the bag, there were some smaller features and improvements we wanted to roll out ahead of this so they could be in place to support the next big push.
Some of these are really just visual UI/UX improvements for better visibility and usability of things like the catalog item detail pages where we added color swatches and visibility into real time inventory for apparel items. Others are massive improvements like the new variant selector for apparel. These are all just smaller parts of a larger project that should be announced this week and its going to be BIG!!!
Simplified Product Variant Selector For Apparel Items
We've completely redesigned how you select variants when creating apparel products. The new color swatch interface makes it faster and more intuitive to select which color and size combinations you want to offer.
What's new:
- Visual color swatches - Click the colors you want instead of scrolling through expandable lists
- Size selection at a glance - All sizes displayed as easy-to-toggle badges
- Cleaner workflow - Select your variants first, then manage SKUs on a dedicated page
- Swatch images - Product variant headers now display the actual color swatch for easy identification
Order Card Improvements
Your order cards for apparel items now include real-time inventory status so you always know product availability before approving an order. No more wondering, no more spreadsheets or discord questions wondering if Russ forgot to add something or mark something out of stock!
What's new:
- Inventory status badges - See at a glance if items are In Stock or Not Available
- Cleaner layout - Refined spacing and formatting for better readability
Catalog Browsing Enhancements
When browsing the product catalog, you can now see more details before adding products:
- Color swatches with size availability - Click any color to see which sizes are available as well as real-time inventory for each size of the selected color
- Pricing visibility - Each size shows your exact pricing (Pro members see Pro pricing)
- Inventory indicators - Color-coded badges show stock status for each size
Hopefully this little bit will give you an idea of where we are heading with things. There is a TON of stuff going on right now, some of it will be announced this week, more will be rolling out over the next few weeks to come as we finalized development on a few things like a brand new Knowledge Base built right into Podzilla! No more third party tools and jumping to another site.
Notes:
- The live inventory for Bella Canvas should be working unless its a Heather color. The supplier threw us a curve ball with that one so those colors all have to be linked manually. We have stock in all of those anyways so its not a huge issue.
- The engraved lid option is also fixed so that now when an order is approved or in production, you can see the engraved lid text instead of it being hidden all the time
