Will the candles melt in the summer heat during transit?

Order Management Candles Shipping Customer Service
Podzilla candle wax is specially tempered to withstand normal shipping conditions, and we have successfully shipped candles during the summer months without issues. However, like any wax product, candles can be affected by prolonged exposure to extreme heat

A candle that sits in an enclosed mailbox or parcel locker for an extended period during extreme heat may soften or begin to melt. This can cause the wax or printed design to become distorted, blurred, or otherwise damaged.

This doesn't necessarily mean the candle was damaged during production or transit. The damage may occur after delivery if the package remains in an extremely hot location.

What should I tell my customers during hot weather?

If you're selling candles during periods of extreme heat, we recommend letting your customers know to:
  •  Watch their tracking so they know when the candle has been delivered.
  •  Get the package from their mailbox or parcel locker as soon as possible after delivery
  •  Avoid leaving the package in an enclosed area exposed to extreme temperatures for an extended period.
This is especially important for customers in areas experiencing unusually high summer temperatures.

If your customer reports a damaged candle, submit a support ticket with clear photos of the candle so our team can review the issue. We may also review the tracking information, delivery time, weather conditions, and other circumstances to help determine what happened.
